It’s holiday season and people are celebrating their Christmas with friends and family. Have you plan out your Christmas activities?

Let’s not forgot about our lovely planet while you are celebrating with your Christmas activities. How about come activities that helps to save our mother earth?

Nice lighting decorations are along the streets…but it consume a lot of electricity during this holiday season as well. These all will add up to our global warming woes. May be it’s time that we should consider for some energy saving activities during this Christmas.

Some of the thing to be considered during this celebration season during your Christmas activities.

Use recycled materials as your decorations. I’m sure that there are quite a number of competition out there for the BEST Christmas Tree decoration. Consider to use recycled materials. It may give your more idea on your decoration themes and saves the environment at the same time.

Remember to switch off the light of the LED on your Christmas tree when it’s not in use…day time, or before you go to bed.

Use energy saving LED lights for your Christmas tree or house decorations. It’s energy saving and more environmental friendly.

Use paper bags for your shopping. Avoid using plastic bags if you can.

Do not waste food. Plan for the amount of the food during your Christmas party. Appreciate what we have and stop wasting food for over cooking.

Just some examples above and the most important message is to think of our environment during your enjoyable Christmas activities. Everyone a bit…it helps a lot. Wish you all an eco-friendly Christmas.

While we enjoy our food everyday, do you ever think of those in hunger somewhere else in the world?

As what stated in Poverty.com, there are about 25,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related cases, according to the United Nations; and children are those who die most often.

Can we do something to help them?
Definitely YES!

You can now improve your vocabulary online for FREE with FreeRice and also help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for FREE.
If you are not sure what’s FreeRice about, it’s a sister site of the world poverty site, Poverty.com.

But how can we help them and improve our vocabulary at the same time?
It’s very simple. FreeRice contain thousands of worlds at varying degrees of difficulty. They will give you a word and what you need to do is to choose the correct meaning of the word based on the 3 choices provided. Dun worry if you get it wrong as FreeRice will then adjust you to a easier level. There are total 50 levels.

For each word that you answered correctly, FreeRice donate 10 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. Put it in a simple word, if your answered words correctly, you gained 50 grains to be donated to those in needs.

Where the money come from?
It come from the sponsors who advertise on FreeRice.

Remember to help to spread the words and help those in hunger and improve your vocabulary at the same time. You got nothing to lose but you will help those in needs.

The impacts of global warming has become more and more obvious these years and i decided to focus on environmental friendly related technology stuff in my Eco-Friendly Technology blog.

I just noticed that Yahoo! got a site called Yahoo! GREEN. It contains tons of interesting and useful information/tips on how to preserve our living environment. What can we do in our daily life to reduce the global warming? I blog on the 5 simplest ways to reduce global warming but here i found a more comprehensive method that we can practise in our daily life, create yourself a plan and you will be surprise with the tons of carbon dioxide that you could save.

I could save the world 2.8 tons carbon dioxide per year if i follow my plan. So how about yours?
