One of my buddy just found his dream job with over 30% salary increment. Is a senior position in a large entity. I also received our company annual review and we do have the salary increment as well, but guess what, the increment percentage is just merely 7%, even for those with promotion, is also a merely 10% increment.
It make me realized that if you are looking for some good increment, staying in the same company will not help even you have a promotion. I’ve seems many of my currently colleagues, what they did is quit the company, within 1-2 years time, then join back the same company and guess what, they got promotion as well as a very good amount of salary increment, which is totally unfare to those who remain loyal to the company. I make me have the momentum for Philadelphia job search.
