I think this is the real life of technology, it keeps changing, and this also the fun part of it.
Years back, when i was a software developer, i develop software for barcode scanner, now more and more industry are using RF already.
Previously we develop software on N tier technology, rely heavily on hardware and servers, now folks are moving into visualization and cloud computing, which is more cost efficient as well as energy saving in terms of server room maintenance.
If you really want to be in this field, never stop learning and improving yourselves.
